Inspiration is drawn from both material experimentation and the mechanics of natural phenomenon.
My Business premise is to work with uncommon sustainable materials that can be just as aesthetically pleasing but ethical in practice. Over the years I have researched new and innovative ways to design and make items with the Tagua nut.
Using laser cut designs which are organically formed to create these spyrographical patterns similar to compression fossils or ammonites. Originating from South America these nuts are also known as the vegetable Ivory due to its creamy colour and hardness similar to elephant ivory.
I am also using another type of nut called a Thika nut which has lovely brown speckling within the nut.
Design work is unique to each slice. I use eco silver as well when I can and all my packaging is recyclable.
I am also available for commission work, I like to make keepsake jewellery/artifacts for all occasions. Please contact me for further information.
