I decided to start baking welsh cakes after I ate some terrible tasting traditional welsh cakes!! I thought perhaps this is something that I could bake, so I started with the traditional cakes, and it developed from there. Fat Bottom Cakes, properly began in Bancyfelin, where I started developing our different flavoured cakes in 2019, and have been creating flavours ever since!
We’ve got fruity ones like Apple, boozy ones like Rum & Raisin, chocolatey ones including Salted Caramel, and one or two savoury ones like Bacon & Laverbread.. and of course the good ole Traditional Welsh Cake, with a touch of mixed spice.. I am always keen to hear what other flavours people might like, which is what I enjoy about attending the fairs.
I only use the best locally sourced ingredients including Welsh butter and Welsh free range eggs to bring you the finest tasting Welsh Cakes around.
My welsh cakes are sold in packs of 4, in biodegradable packaging. I do have gift boxes available that people can request at extra cost depending on size. – And I offer a postal service, with a minimum cake order of 2 packs.
The cakes are £3.00 per pack of 4.
