Nowadays, time seems to be precious – although not right now, at the moment we have bags of time on our hands. During this unusual time of isolation, self-care should be a priority and what better time to prioritise yourself and your home?!

Have you got a list as long as your arm of reading materials you just haven’t got round to reading yet? Now is the perfect time for you to make a dent in it. Reading has multiple benefits for you as well as being just a wonderful past time. Some of the advantages include:
- Strengthen your brain – something we all need to do during this boring isolation period!
- Reduces stress; this is a really difficult time for majority of us to deal with and many of us are finding it pretty stressful. Reading can alleviate some of this stress for you!
- Increases your vocabulary!
Now, as we are only allowed out once per day to exercise, we really should be making the most out of this. Whether you use your time to go walking and enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside or even attempt the popular Couch to 5k running challenge; we really recommend you go out once per day.
However, for those of you that are in 12 weeks of quarantine, there are plenty of “homework outs” you can do too!

Taking some time to breathe and meditate has huge mental and physical benefits. Headspace is a brilliant app that can help you through this tricky time and teach you the best way to go about meditating!
During this glorious spring sunshine, you have the time to get green fingered and make your garden summer ready. Check out our top tips for April’s gardening priorities:

Start by de-cluttering those kitchen cupboards, your wardrobes and under stairs cupboards (We all have that hoarding space – don’t worry!).
7. Catching up with loved ones
Have you been invited to a Zoom party yet? Virutal parties seem to be taking the world by storm at the moment. Why not host a wine tasting evening or quiz with your loved ones over Zoom this evening? Zoom has a free option for you to use, so check it out!
8. Trying a brand-new skincare routine
At the moment we are making the most of being bare-faced and make up free! It is the perfect time to try out a brand-new skincare regime. And, what better than trying a green, vegan, award winning business that has a local ambassador that you can support too? Check out Tropic with Sam for some advice and products!
Have you gone banana bread crazy like the rest of the UK yet? If not, we would recommend it or at least channel your inner Mary Berry and get baking. 10. Watch something you have wanted to for ages
Finally, if you can’t bear to do any of the above – why not treat yourself to binge watching that series you have been meaning to catch up on! From the Netflix special everyone is talking about – Tiger King to the amazing crime drama – Line of Duty. Our endless supply of channels, catch up tv and streaming services mean the viewing possibilities are pretty endless!
Don’t forget, although you may feel like it during this difficult isolation period, you aren’t alone and there are plenty of things for you to be doing to fill your days. Make quarantine a time for you to prioritise you for once…
